Project details
This illustration was produced as part of a larger project on surgical illustration in the Biomedical Communications program. The pen and ink render is part of a sequence of illustrations that describe an ulnar nerve repair surgery performed by Dr. Dimitri Anastakis at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada. The specific procedure is "Decompression of Guyon's canal with supercharged anterior interosseus nerve transfer to the motor branch of the ulnar nerve". The illustrations depicts the second and third step of the sequence and were layed out according to typical surgical textbook expectations.
